Intro to Web3

Description
The 1990s saw the growth of the early worldwide web—Web 1.0—which at the time was primarily composed of information-bearing, static pages that users consumed. This gave way to “Web 2.0” in which ‘we’ the users became creators of data as well as consumers of it, a transition ushering in the social media revolution in which personalized, individualized content is the norm. Alas, this customized content requires the collection and storage of a great deal of information about a user, introducing privacy issues around the fundamental question: “who owns the data?” Web3 is an emerging structure for the next generation of the internet that offers an answer to that question, and a solution to the problem of data ownership through decentralization, transparency, and self-sovereignty.

In this webinar, we will walk you through the basics of Web3, with a focus on the role Ethereum could play, and how you can start developing for the decentralized world.
